GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The primary focus of this position centers on the ability to communicate effectively and grow sales by setting meetings for their assigned RSM(s). Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations for their assigned territory(s). The key to success in this position is the ability to build professional relationships with customers and effectively sell and be measured. The position covers aspects of sales and business development and covers the use of SalesForce and other ERP systems including price and delivery dates.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule qualified meetings for your assigned territory(s)
  • Represent Omega TMM in a positive and professional manner. Ability to build a strong rapport, establish trust and credibility with customers, prospective customers and cross functional departments within Omega TMM and partners.
  • Represent Omega TMM in the John H. Nuccitelli Center For Customer Excellence center. Assist with all customer demos and meetings on camera.
  • Manage the customer demo approval process.
  • Research existing customers files and leads. Quickly identify sales opportunities for primarily a focus to drive sales on new machines and service, close sales and achieve sales targets
  • Communicate with customers by making outbound calls and sending descriptive e-mails to potential customers and follow up on leads.
  • Research all social media channels for new business opportunities.
  • Understand customers’ needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Answer potential customers’ questions and send additional information per e-mail.
  • Keep up with machine and service information and updates
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers using Salesforce
  • Explain and demonstrate features of products and services
  • Stay informed about competing products and services
  • Contact customers primarily through phone and other forms of communication to generate warm leads resulting in sales of machines, service, calibration and parts.
  • May at times be responsible for processing customer orders and requests for quotations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Routine proactive follow up of open quotations.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers and all other employees.
  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all ISO procedures and requirements for the customer service function. This includes active participation in the internal and external audits when necessary.
  • Required to answer minor application questions for customers.
  • Assure both internal and external customer satisfaction using the Omega Quality Promise.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or commensurate with Inside Sales Certification
  • 2+ years in an inside sales position
  • Tool measuring and management knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce knowledge is preferred
  • Prior Experience in outbound call center or machining environment is preferred
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position
  • Good organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent phone and cold calling skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Ability to achieve targets

 

WORKING HOURS

  • Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Must be willing to stay after if customer call goes longer than 5pm.
  • Occasional weekend work depending on business or company requirements
  • This position will require occasional overnight travel for trade shows and as required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS :

Excellent communication skills, customer relations, organizational, computer, clerical and Salesforce and ERP skills. Multi-tasking, collaboration and ability to get along with others will be used from Day 1.

OPPORTUNITY:

This is a fast-track position with anticipated advancement to a Regional Sales Manager position. The applicant must have the ability to relocate to another region of the United States in the next 12-24 months.
