PAST: The Foundation of Parlec
Before Omega TMM, there was Parlec—a pioneering name in precision tool measurement. From the early AP Series presetters with analog scales and handwheel adjustments, to digital-readout models like the Parsetter and Parsetter 2000, Parlec built a reputation for durability, reliability, and serviceability that laid the groundwork for our modern offerings.
Some of our most enduring legacy equipment included:
- Parsetter 1200 & 1800: Built with granite bases and steel columns, these workhorses delivered accurate readings in even the harshest shop environments.
- IS2500 & IS3000: Among the first to integrate PC-based software and touchscreen controls.
- Manual Measuring Units: Known for simplicity and longevity—many still running strong today in shops around the country.
Even now, Omega TMM continues to service and support these legacy machines, offering calibration, retrofits, and upgrade paths for long-time customers.
